OPERATION MORE or LESS: The ten week slim in aid of Fr. Pat Hogan’s “Calcutta Calling Fund” continues each Friday night in the Resource Centre at 7.30pm and you support is greatly appreciated. Phil Ryan is on hand with her weighing scales to keep you on the straight and narrow. There are over 30 people on the slim which ends on Good Friday. A 5k walk in aid of this fund also takes place on Sunday February 28 at 12 noon, commencing at the Resource Centre, down over Newtown Hill and up the Line. We welcome all walkers to this event and we look forward to a good attendance and of course a fine day. Thanks in advance for your support.
RATHKEALE AND DISTRICT HISTORICAL SOCIETY: Author, historian and broadcaster, Mr. Ian Kenneally, will deliver a talk entitled “Irish Soldiers, American Wars: From Appomatox to Wounded Knee” to Rathkeale & District Historical Society this Friday night, February 26, at 8.30pm in the Community Arts Centre in Rathkeale. You are welcome to attend.
SPORTS CONFERENCE IN MARY IMMACULATE COLLEGE: The Sports Conference will be held on Wednesday February 24 featuring Micky Harte, Ger Hartmann, Gerry Hussey and local sports personalities. Time 6.00pm – 9.00pm. The conference is co-sponsored by The Limerick Diocesan Synod and the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at Mary Immaculate College. The event is free of charge but patrons are asked to email firstname.lastname@example.org if attending.
SALESIAN SECONDARY COLLEGE ANNUAL MUSICAL is being held on Thursday, 25 and Friday 26 February at 8.00pm in the Lime Tree Theatre. This year they present ‘Beauty and the Beast’. HOSPITAL OR NURSING HOME PASTORAL VISITS: If you know of any family member or parishioner who would welcome a pastoral visit while in hospital or in a nursing home please let Fr. Mike, Parish Office or Sacristan know.
