NATIONAL YOUTH FINALS FOR LIMERICK : Young people from across Ireland, including Limerick, will descend on the Treaty City in the first weekend of July, as Limerick Youth Service hosts the national finals of Youth Work Ireland’s Youth Factor and Youth Games.The Youth Factor will see some of Ireland’s most talented teens take to the stage at the Lime Tree Theatre on Saturday July 2 where they will compete in four categories : Dance, Performance Music & Song. Tickets for this event, which promises to be an afternoon of great family entertainment, cost just €5 and will available on the door but you can pre purchase them at
On Sunday, July 3, attention switches to the University Arena, as Ireland’s future sports stars take part in competitions that include: basketball, football, chess, draughts and unihoc. The action gets underway at 11:15am and a morning of great skill, fun and excitement await the Limerick public. Limerick Youth Service will be represented at both events by teenagers from LYS’s youth clubs in Askeaton-Ballysteen, Cappagh, Clonlara, Foynes, Newcasltewest (Domain) and the Laff Caff Youth Café.
