SALESIAN SECONDARY COLLEGE, PALLASKENRY – FASHION SHOW

SALESIAN SECONDARY COLLEGE, PALLASKENRY – FASHION SHOW: Our Annual Fashion show will be held on Thursday March 10 at 8pm in the Fitzgerald’s Woodlands House Hotel, Adare. This year the funds raised will be used to help create new classrooms which are required to cater for our increasing school numbers. . Models from ‘Glamour the Agency’ and all 80 Transition Year students will model on the night. Lorcan Murray of Lyric FM will also present and will compere on the night.The Fashion Show, now in its ninth year, has become an annual event on the school calendar and will see transition year students, teachers, celebrity guests and models from ‘Glamour the Agency’ take to the catwalk modelling this seasons Spring/Summer collections. The following boutiques and fashion stores will show on the night. Lady Penelope Sash, Bella Sola, Joanne’s, Footprints by Laura Shoe Boutique, Gretta Gibbs, Pamela Scotts, Esquire Dress Hire, John Deignan, Lady Muck, Penney’s, Patsy’s Boutique, Ela Maria’s, Noels, Virginia’s, Stitch, B Fabulous, Aishling Maher, Annette’s Boutique, Ivory Closet and No. 15.The models’ hair will be styled by Ciara Downes (Park Avenue) and make up by Catherine Hickey and Mary Mulqueen & the Boots Team.Tickets can be purchased in advance and are available from the school 061 393105. Door Prize: 2 Nights Stay at Kilkenny Ormond Hotel. Best Dressed: Shaws Hamper. Monster raffle also on the night.We are looking forward to a fantastic night as it brings friends, parents, students and teachers to a great colourful and exciting event. It also of course gives everyone a chance to dress up and look like ‘a million dollars’ and also an opportunity to view the fantastic fashion that is available in our shops in Limerick City and County.We need the support of all our parents,past pupils and friends in a financial way and what better way to do this than come to our Fashion Show and enjoy a great evening out. Tickets for the show cost €15 for an adult, €7 for a student and €40 for a family. Family tickets available at the door on the night..

45 DRIVE

45 DRIVE: The weekly 45 card drive in aid of the Ballybrown Community Resource Centre continues each Thursday night at 8.45pm and your support would be greatly appreciated. Please bring a friend and we promise you a great social night out for just €5. The winners for Thursday February 18 were as follows : 1st prize of €150 was shared equally between : Sean King with Brian Barrett, Jimmy McNamara with Junior Hogan, Pauline Culhane with John Doolan who each finished with eight games. The table prize went to Joan Burke and Kathleen Keyes. The raffle winners were 1/ €30, Michael Holland, 2/ €20, Leonard Coughlan, 3/ €20, Nial Doolan, 4/ €10, Pat Mulqueen, 5/ €10, Ann O’Dwyer and
6/ €10, Noreen Cusack. Hope to see you all on Thursday night. Thanks.

OPERATION MORE or LESS

OPERATION MORE or LESS: The ten week slim in aid of Fr. Pat Hogan’s “Calcutta Calling Fund” continues each Friday night in the Resource Centre at 7.30pm and you support is greatly appreciated. Phil Ryan is on hand with her weighing scales to keep you on the straight and narrow. There are over 30 people on the slim which ends on Good Friday. A 5k walk in aid of this fund also takes place on Sunday February 28 at 12 noon, commencing at the Resource Centre, down over Newtown Hill and up the Line. We welcome all walkers to this event and we look forward to a good attendance and of course a fine day. Thanks in advance for your support.
