LIMERICK CHORAL FESTIVAL SOCIETY is thrilled that the world-famous Palestrina Choir are coming to Limerick for the very first time to perform at the opening concert of this year’s choral festival ( February 26-28). The concert takes place on Friday, February 26 in St. Josephs Church, O Connell Ave., at 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased online at www.litmt.ie, from the Abbey Bookshop or at the door priced €15/€12.

Membership fees as follows: €30 for one child U18, €50 for two U18, €60 for three or more U18 (from same family). €50 for adult players (over 18) €5 Non Playing Social Member. You must be a member to vote in AGM. All new U18 players must bring copy of their birth certificate. New Members are always welcome. Any queries contact Pauline 087-7758603

Events taking place are Set & Figure Dancing, Solo Singing, Ballad Group, Instrumental Music, Novelty Group, Recitation. Leave a Comment (0) →CRIB DONATIONS : A total of €1265 was collected from Ballybrown and Patrickswell Churches. The money has been given to Sr. Bride Counihan, a Little Sister of the Assumption, to help with her work in a remote area of Brazil. “Thank you” to all who donated so generously.

Leave a Comment (0) →45 DRIVE : The weekly 45 card drive in aid of the Ballybrown Community Resource Centre continues each Thursday night at 8.45pm sharp. The winners for Thursday February 4 were as follows; 1st prize €100 went to Eugene Quinn and Gerry Moran with eleven games while Mike Mann with Teresa Moloney and Michael Stokes with Micheal O’Keeffe shared 2nd prize of €60 with eight games each. The table prize went to Ann O’Brien and Marie Cregan. Raffle winners were : 1/ €30, Paddy McCarthy, 2/ €20, John O’Brien, 3/ €20, Willie Gorman, 4/ €10, Evelyn O’Brien, 5/ €10, Ann O’Brien 6/ €10, Gerry Moran.
There will be a 45 drive in aid of the Senior Citizens Party on Sunday February 21 at 3pm in the Resource Centre and your support would be greatly appreciated.
