BALLYBROWN SENIOR CITIZENS CHRISTMAS PARTY COMMITTEE

BALLYBROWN SENIOR CITIZENS CHRISTMAS PARTY COMMITTEE wish to inform all, that they are currently updating their Senior Citizens Party List.  If you know of anyone in your area whom you feel would like to be invited (even yourself), please inform our Secretary Rose Merrigan at 087 9777911, it would be disappointing if a person who is eligible would miss out on a good evening because of not being on the list. The party this year will be on Sunday December 6 please note change of time to 3.00pm in the GAA Hall Clarina.

45 Drive

45 DRIVE: The weekly 45 card drive in aid of the Ballybrown Community Resource Centre continues each Thursday night at 8.45pm, your support would be greatly appreciated and please bring a friend. The winners for Thursday October 15th were as follows, the total prize money of €160 was divided among four pairs who finished on 8 games. Susie Adams with Evelyn O’Brien, John Kiely with Billy Sheerin, Pat Mulqueen with Donie Lane and Niall Doolan with Leonard Coughlan each received €20. The table prize went to Jim Enright and Liam Brown. The raffle winners were as follows: 1st prize €30, Gerry Moran, 2nd prize €20, Helen Kennedy, 3rd prize €20, Jim Enright, 4th prize €10, Richard Kennedy, 5th prize €10, Anthony McGann and 6th prize €10, John Long. See you all next Thursday and we guarantee a great social night out for just €5. Tea and refreshment served afterwards. A great place to make some new friends and shorten the long winter nights. Thanks.

45 DRIVE

45 DRIVE : The weekly 45 card drive in aid of the Ballybrown Community Resource Centre continues each Thursday night at 8.45pm with €100.00 for first prize and €60.00 for second prize plus our grand raffle. The winners for Thursday October 8th were as follows; 1st prize went to Evelyn O’Brien and Susie Adams with 11 games while Eugene Quinn and Gerry Moran took second prize with 10 games. Michael Stokes and Billy Sheerin won the table prize. The raffle winners were : 1st. €30, Michael Gabbitt, 2nd. €20, Bridget Lynch, 3rd. €20, Paddy McCarthy, 4th. €10, Sean King,
5th. €10, James Coughlan and 6th. €10, Jim Enright. The special draw for two tickets for the 45 Drive in aid of Our Ladies Hospital in Crumlin, which will be held in Mungret GAA Clubhouse on Wednesday October 21 at 9pm, went to Leonard Coughlan. We hope to see you all on Thursday night next and we guarantee a great night out for just €5. Please support this venture, bring a friend and make some new friends.

LOURDES 2016

LOURDES 2016: The 2016 Limerick Diocesan Youth Pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place from Sunday June 21 to Friday  June 26.  The Parish has two places, all those over 16 years of age on date of departure who are interested please submit their names to the Parish Office or Church Sacristan before Sunday  October 25 2015.

Scór na nÓg

BALLYBROWN GAA are seeking entries for the 2015 Scór na nÓg competition in the following area’s:- Rince Foirne, Rince Seit ,Instrumental Music, Recitation / Story Telling, Ballad Group, Solo Singing, Table Quiz (teams x 4)
 
If you are interested in taking part, please contact Evelyn Adams 087-2211804 before October 31.
All participants must be under 17 years of age.
 
The competition dates are as follows:
 
City Final of Scór
Na Piarsaigh on Fri. Nov.13 @ 7:30 pm
 
County Table Quiz:
Ballybrown GAA Club on Fri Nov.. 20 @ 8 pm
 
County Final
Caherconlish on Sun Nov. 22 @ 2:30 pm.

BALLYBROWN PARISH JOURNAL

BALLYBROWN PARISH JOURNAL: The final touches are being put to this year’s Journal and the deadline of October 30 is fast approaching. Anyone who wishes to have wedding, graduation or baby photographs included please contact Tom Donovan or any of the committee ASAP. We are also looking for any local business’s who would like to advertise in our publication to contact us. Costs are as follows: full page €100, half page €70 and quarter page €40. The journal will be launched in early Ðecember in the Ballybrown GAA Clubhouse. Thank you.
